    Marshy open woods and shrubs; Ulmus americana, Acer rubrum, Betula alleghaniensis, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Ilex verticillata, Rosa multiflora, Lonicera ?morrowi, Lindera; on ground, Onoclea, Osmuna cinnamomea, Carex, Equisetum hyemale, Celastrus orbiculatus. Same site as 2016.08-04.

  • Description

    Sapling with sprouts, ca 10 cm dbh at base. 1.5 m tall; hairy (6A) and smooth (6B) shoots appear to come from same plant base. No fruit.
