Edge of old lake terrace; mowed around this tree; other trees within 50 m include Fraxinus americana and Carya cordiformis (both common), also Prunus serotina, Betula alleghaniensis, some Ulmus rubra, Acer saccharum, Carya ovata; on ground where not mowed, Onoclea, Rosa multiflora, Vitis ?labrusca, Lindera, Rubus ?pensylvanicus.

Tree ca 9 dm dbh, 30 m tall; <10% dieback. Fruiting. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
