confluence of Fish Canyon. Near 34°36’55”N, 118°39’35”W.
T6N R17W NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec. 14. Elev. ca. 1800 - 2000 feet.
Narrow canyon surrounded by steep slopes, mostly of sedimentary
rock.
Vegetation on slopes mostly scrub of Salvia leucophylla, S.
mellifera, Eriogonum fasciculatum, and Artemisia califomica.
Riparian elements such as Salix lasiolepis, S. laevigata, S. exigua,
Baccharis salicifolia, and Populus fremontii developed along stream
channels.
Perennial herb, local in wet mud along stream.
