    Common and forming a dense mat with Spahgnum spp., surrounding a small pool / 'mudding pit' (an area used for driving off-road vehicles through the mud). With Spiranthes arcisepala, Eurpatrium perfoliatum, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, Symphotrichum lanceolatum, and Nyssa sylvatica. Also occuring in the wet ditch of the ditch road.

    Small, creeping subshrub. fruit red to reddish mottled wth yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
