Est. Rio de Janeiro, Reserva Florestal da Vista Chinesa. High forest on steep
slope, on coarse sand 22°57'S 43°18'W, 540 m
Tree, 8 m tall, 15cm in diam., upper side of leaves dark, shiny green, lower side
slightly shiny green, flowers with a sweet scent, sepals green, outer side of petals
cream to yellow, inner side and stamens cream, old flowers brown, carpels green;
bark smooth, but close to this collection a flowering tree of the same species
(30m tall and 50cm in diam.) was encountered with a longitudinally fissured
