    Disturbed lowland windward Forest w/ Schinus, Bidens, pepperomia, Nephrolepis, Sphenomeris chinensis, Psidium catteianum, Blechnum, Cordyline, Alyxia, Schizachyrium condensatum, Dicranopteris, Metrosideros, Lantana, Urochloa maxima. Common along ridge-top. Mixed in fern and miss on open basalt.

    Upright, flowers dark bright orange w/ yellow-orange. Leaves thick green w/ purple margin, underside green w/ purple haze. Leaf sheath yellow green topside and purple below. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
