"Firetail Creek": tributary of the Bladen Branch of the Monkey River, just north of the
northeastern Bladen Nature Reserve. Substrate rhyolitic lava. Creekside among volcanic
rock. Tree 35cm DBH, 25m tall. Bark moderately deeply furrowed, soft-spongy-crumbly,
yellowish-tan brown. Slash/wood bright yellow, very bitter to taste. Fruits green, tan-
brown when dry.
