Solitary palm. Stipe 40-50 cm long. Petiole 70 cm long, rachis 50 cm long. 20-22
pinnae/side in 1 plane, regularly spread a long rachis, with a few gaps towards the
base. Inflorescence old, infrafoliar. Spines on stem and on petiole, not on rachis.
Habitat: On tierra firme, steep slope.
