Top of ridge, near Yakatopema/ MPD Congo SA camp.
Partially disturbed evergreen plateau forest, level, clay soil.
Tree to c. 15m; dbh 9cm; bole smooth, grey-brown, dull white
lenticels numerous; slash orange, outer dark brown, no scent;
leaves 1.5m long, c. 13-15-16 leaflets each side; petiole 40cm,
basal leaflets 1/2-2/3 length of rest; inflorescence 30cm, in
clusters from near ground; calyx creamm densely puberulous;
petals white; stamens pink. Just 2 flowers open.
