1150m. Hemiepiphytic shrub to 4m, attached to host 1-6m
above ground. In fruit, the floral bracts green; hypanthium
white, red distally; calyx red. Ants tending honeydew
aphids on abaxial leaf surface. Large caterpillar eating
leaves (photos). Uncommon.
