Stem 14 m high, 8 cm thick; intemodes 5-6 cm long, smooth. Stilt roots 20,40-70 cm long, 2.5-3 cm thick, with 0.2 cm long spines. Crownshaft 60 cm long. Leaves 5, sheath 60 cm long, closed; petiole 35-40 cm long, section round; rachis 180 cm long; lamina pinnate, 210 cm long, 150 cm wide, flat, hairy; pinnae 20-24 per side, insertion regular; basal pinna 32 cm long, middle pinna 70 cm long, apical pinna 35 cm long. Infructescences infrafoliar, multiple per node; prophyll 2.5 cm long, 35 cm wide, woody; peduncular bracts 5, 5-25 cm long, inserted 1-3 cm from base, brown, woody; peduncle 14 cm long, 2 cm wide; rachis 20 cm long. Fruits brown, hairy, 2-3 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, aggregated in a sausage-like structure. Silicagel sample taken.
