Primary forest on undulating terrain, in places dissected by
many small stream. Soil sandy in many places. No Guadua,
but strong presence of Bertholletia and Tetragastris altissima
s.l.
Tree 25m, sterile. Plank buttresses present, outer bark with
discolorous plates, these thin, almost scaly.
