concession on the Essequibo River. Left side of river bank going down
river. 108 m 3°35'18.2"N 58°17'57.6"W. Mora dominant. White sand
banks and laterite soil. Riparian vegetation. Seasonally flooded forest.
Large boulders scattered. Tree 8-10 meters tall. Common along river
edge. Aztecia ants present. Inflor axillary covered in white trichomes.
Sheath red. Flowers small, white.. Silica sample.
