Suriname. Sipaliwini. 2.5-3 km S (190°) from Kwamalasamutu village
center, access trail from confl. Peritu Eeku (Creek) and Sipaliwini R (1.0
ha research plot KW4). 209 m 2°20'16"N 56°47’42,,W. Seasonally-
flooded creek forest, bordering swamp. Small tree in tree fall tangle.
Leafy shoots green, flattened; lvs margin revolute, remotely crenulate.
Infructescence cauliflorous or axillary; frt green, sub-globose, to 0.8 cm
diam, pedicels 0.4 cm long, multiple seeds within. Common Name:
meu tapiru (Trio).
