Suriname. Sipaliwini. 3.13 km SW from Kwamalasamutu village center,
access trail begins at confl. Peritu Eeku (creek) & Sipaliwini R. (1.0 ha
research plot "KW3"). 220 m 2°20'4"N 56048'21"W. Non-flooded,
disturbed, secondary forest fallow (14 yrs regrowth). Tree, 25 m tall.
Subbark ylw-bm, exudate absent. Twigs drk bm. Apical buds and
petioles asperous, apical bud pointed, stipule conical? (possibly linear
stipules present). Frt globose, 2 x 2 cm, bright ylw, sticky (barbed
hairs?), soft, pulp white. Common Name: pauraran (Trio).
