Suriname. Sipaliwini. 3.13 km SW from Kwamalasamutu village center,
access trail begins at confl. Peritu Eeku (creek) & Sipaliwini R. (1.0 ha
research plot "KW3"). 220 m 2°20'4"N 56°48'21"W. Non-flooded,
disturbed, secondary forest fallow (14 yrs regrowth). Tree, 8 m x 8 cm,
buttresses absent. Bark white and fibrous, slash w/ org watery exudate;
wood white. Lvs dark green above, red-brown below. Frt green, calyx
persistent, red-brown abaxially, 1.4 x 1.2 cm (largest fits). Common
Name: weri sipi, tikorijan (Trio).
