Deep sands, disturbed open field. Associates include Solanum ptychanthum,
Nama hispidum, Paronychia drummondii, Loeflingia squarrosa ssp. squarrosa,
Mollugo verticillata, Cyperus retroflexus, Helianthus debilis ssp. silvestris.
Some plants branching in lower half.
