Fruits round or slightly apple or heart-shaped with a moderately long stalk. Smooth with thin elfin and persistent black stigma when mature. Two to five seeds. Two to three fruits per branch. Small leaves moderately dissected with 3-5 pairs of lobes. Dark, glossy, leathery blade with yellow veins. Few long white hairs on upper veins. Ethnobotany - All Samoan types are seeded, there may be 7-8 different types in Fiji. They are more common than seedless types and typically produce root suckers.
