Plants growing along edge of fenced meadow and along paved path, growing with restoration species such as Helianthus tuberousus, Solidago altissima and Silphium perfoliatumi, Ageratina altissima.

Description
Herb 3 m tall; stems several from one root crown, the largest at least 2 cm diam at the base, strictly erect, branched or forked below only at wound, otherwise unbranched until the inflorescence. The plants here occur in a large patch 10 m x 2 m with about 60 stems, some of them clumped and others more isolated, suggesting numerous individuals. There is another, solitary plant about 20 m east and across the path. This species was planted in the area by the Prospect Park Alliance from material provided by the Greenbelt Native Plant Center in 2011. Phenology of specimen: Flower and Fruit.

Large open area maintained as meadow and quite open due to recent downing of several large trees.
