U.S.A. Caprifoliaceae Lonicera canadensis Marshall det. M. Nee, 2014 WISCONSIN, Ashland Co., Conley Road (Forest road 184), 0.37 km SE of junction with hwy. GG. Chequamegon National Forest. 46°16’28”N, 90°50’05”W. alt. 443 m. T44N; R4 W; sect. 23. Secondary forest of Populus tremuloides, Abies balsamea, with marshy opening with Larix laricina, Picea mariana. Shrublets in understory, mostly less than 0.5 m. tall, but a few to 1.5 m. tall; stems to 1.1 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Twigs very slender but surprisingly tough. Immature fruit greenish-white, some held below the leaves, some above. A very few pale yellow corollas. Coll.: M. Nee 61227 11 June 2014 Missouri Botanical Garden (MO) 02632932
