S.E. sandy shore of Round Lake. A sandy
beach, enlarged in area by the receding
water during the dry summer, supported an
assoc., whose specific representation
ranked in the following order: B. parvula
yar. anachaete, S. calva, E. acicularia
and Cyperus inflexus. E. calva appears
rigid, wiry and bright green in the field,
but paler after drying. Abundant through
1936.
