Quito-Santo Domingo road. Elev. 1960m. Hemiepiphytic
shrub with branches to 4m. Plant, especially young growth,
densely wooly. Stipules present. Nodes expanded and
encircled by a ring of long setae. Floral bracts green.
Mature berries red. Near topotype.
