A small tree 15 cm. dbh & 8 m. tall.
It is found commonly (4 out of 96 trees in a plot) in die flat lands between die
Western Lake Maracaibo and the Siena de Perijá in the remains 400 hectares of primary
forest The soil is normally sandy dark brown, quite humid and rich in humus. Tropical
environment with an annual average of 27°C temp. (at 150 m. of altitude) and 3500
mm. of rain with high humidity and a dry season from December 15 tfll March 15 (with
rain at least once a week).
Not used.
Plant collected 12 fan. E of Knmanda village (9*34^-72*43^ Elev. 60 m.
