KENDALL CO.: common in grassland in clearing in live oak woodland on soils mapped as shallow, well drained, calcareous, moderately alkaline silty clay (Doss Series, Typic Calciustolls), on very gently sloping upland underlain by Glen Rose Limestone, along road in NW comer of Davidson property, ca. 1.8 airmiles NW of jet. R. M. 473 and R. M. 3160 in Kendalia, near N29°5858.5, W098°3252.8. Elev. 1390 ft. Associates included Asclepias asperula, A. oenotheroides, Berberis trifoliolata, Cirsium texanum, Dichanthelium oligosanthes, Diospyros texana, Ditaxis humilis, Dyssodia pentachaeta, Euphorbia spatbulata, Evax prolifera, Galium virgatum, Gianduiaria bipinnatifida, Hedeoma acinoides, Heliotropium tenellum, Hymenopappus scabiosaeus, Lupinus texensis, Matelea reticulata, Nassella leucotricha, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Plantago rhodosperma, Quercus fusiformis, Ratibida columnifera, Rhynchosia texana, Scutellaria drummondii, Tragia ramosa, Triodanis sp., Trisetum interruptum, Verbena canescens.
