Dear Mr* Krukoff,
I have referred your letter of September 20th to
Mr* Sandwith, and he reports as followss-
BMr* Ridley informs me that the British Museum specimen is to
be taken as the type of the species, the chief set of this
collection being in the possession of Herb. Mas* Brit. It is
no. 55, "big tree at Leao bay* Beans black and red1*, and is
written up as Brythrina aurantiaca n* sp* in Mr. Ridley* s hand*
I found no specimen of no, 56 in Herb. Mus. Brit*, only a single
sheet of no* 55.«
