Habitat
Primary forest on undulating terrain, in places dissected by many small stream. Soil sandy in many places. No Guadua, but strong presence of Bertholletia and Tetragastris altissima s.l.

Description
Tree. Tree 15m, leaning, fruiting calyx rose to red outside, white within. Fruits immature, globose. Outer bark brown, rough due to lenticels, shed in thin irregular plates. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
