Cypress Mountain Quadrangle, T28S.R10E, sections 3,4,5,8,9,10, 15,16,17. 1000-acre property containing within its boundaries the origins of Cottontail, Cayucos, Villa, and Cienega Creeks. Property contains Geode Mountain (rhyolite), sedimentary formations, and serpentine. Soils vary from hard rock to rich humus. Land mostly occupied by oak woodland and chaparral]. North slope of Geode Mountain. Under trees just uphill from "dry lake" pond.
