Lowland mixed dipterocarp forest on sandy clay soils.
Associated trees: Shorea, Dipterocarpus, Santeria.
Morphology:
Tree 25 m tall, 40 cm dbh. Outer bark reddish-brown,
rough. Inner bark orange, clear sap. Buttresses 2 m tall,
narrow - 50 cm wide at base. Fruits green, aril yellow, seed
brown. Infructescence 8-12 cm long, green.
