Deep white sugar sand. In open sun along thick oak-Ilex vomitoria brush. Associates include Aster integrifolium ssp ciliatum, Astragalus leptocarpus, Ilex vomitoria, Cnidoscolus texensis, Linaria texensis, Nothoscordum bivalve. Plant 10-20 cm tall.
