Habitat
This locality is a narrow, deeply incised gorge through Cambrian sanstone and Baraboo quartzite conglomerate. The gorge has a small stream and is constantly cool and moist and shaded. Aconitum noveboracense, Pinus strobus, Betula lutea; Surrounding uplands with woods of Quercus alba, Q. rubra.
