W-facing slope.
T 10 N; R 1 E; NW%NW'/4 Sect. 36.
43°18’29”N, 90°19’38.5”W. alt. 270 m.
Shrub with arching branches, one to 5 m. high where
growing into a Juniperus virginiana tree; stem 2.5 cm. in
diameter. Now common on pasture slope much growing up
to native species and to invasives such as Lonicera tatarica,
L. morrowii (and hybrids between the two), Lonicera
maackii, Rosa multiflora. Flowers abundant, fragrant, white,
fading pale yellow. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw.
