R. Liessner, 1997 Department of Santa Cruz. Province of Chiquitos. Valle de Tucavaca, 30 km ENE of Santiago de Chiquitos» Elev. 400 m. Ca» 18°20'S 59°08'W Dry forest near river in large flat valley, rege- nerating after floods in 1979 which killed all but a few of the species of large trees. Tree leaning at 40° angle, fruits green, seeds black with white aril, ants in mature fruit. D.C.Daly, M.J.G.Hopkins, L.E.Forero, S.Beck, N. Hernandez, H.Phipps III, and H.Wolf.
