The New York Botanical Garden Paratype Talauma boliviana M. Nee, Brittonia 46: 265. 1994. - a SA 0V) det. M. Nee, 1994 113 The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Talauma Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Ichilo, Parque Nacional Amboro, slopes above Quebrada Yapoje, upstream from confluence with the Rio Saguayo. 17°34'S, 63°44!W. alt. 400 m. Tropical evergreen forest, nearly undisturbed, with some selective logging of Swietenia macrophylla in the past. "sinini de la selva" ["sinini" in the Santa Cruz region is Annona muricata] Large tree, 25 m. tall, 75 cm. in diameter, with butresses to 1.5 m. high; trunk smooth but with horizontal leaf scars visible throughout. Only fallen flowers; cut buds with aromatic odor; petals pale creamy yellow-green. Some old rotten fruits, the outside irregularly splitting and separating from the' core during drying; fruit not eaten. Coll.: M. Nee 38097 12 Dec. 1989 01115836
