The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Phytolacaceae Gallesia integrifolia (Spreng.) Harms, det. M. Nee, 2002 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. A. Ibáñez: gorge of Rio Pirai, along highway from Santa Cruz to Samaipata, ca. 3 km WSW of police checkpoint at Angostura. 18°10S, 63°32W. alt. 675 m. Large tree 14 m. tall, 1 m. in diameter; bark more or less smooth; the whole plant with a strong and unpleasant stench of garlic (Allium sativum). Abundant inflorescencies throughout the dense crown; flowers greenish white. Coll.: M. Nee & M. Sundue 52211 20 April 2002 02592817
