Vegetation: bosque humedo montano.
Epiphytic shrub; leaves coriaceous-fleshy with all but the main vein
and two laterals obscure, young flush foliage red, mature foliage
yellowish green, slightly darker above; pendent flowers with scarlet
corollas; fruits blackish green. On tree trunk at 2 m from ground in
middle of peaty swamp. Apparently rare.
