NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN
Ecuador. Dept: Esmeraldas. Municipio: San Lorenzo. Siete Cascadas -
Guadual de Lita, kilometer 40 on highway Ibarra-San Lorenzo. Elevation:
667 m. 0°53'36"N 78°30'34"W. Epiphyte at-2 m high, with ants. Stem
1.2-2.2 cm diam up to 50 cm long. Petioles 27-57 long, U-shaped, rhubarb
red, semiglossy. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate 32-60 cm long,
7.5-20 cm wide, long acuminate at apex, cuneate by 3-6 cm. Primary
lateral veins 15-21 pairs, sunken above, raised below. Midrib pinkish on
the lower half below.
