Common epiphytic bush, 3 m above ground at forest
edges branches to 4 m long, festooned with clus-
ter of bright red flowers with white mouths,
visited and often robbed in bud by hummingbirds.
Fruit translucent white.
Flowers have shrunk to about 1/2 original size.
