Terrestrial or epiphytic shrub; branches to
2 m long. Leaves thick-coriaceous. Pedicel
and calyx hypanthium orange at anthesis, the
lobes whitish. Corolla orange, old, rotten.
Immature berry green, the calyx lobes
whitish-green. [Pickled.]
