Habitat
Steep-sided valley between massive red sandstone hills. Disturbed scrubby forest, with some Alnus acuminata along stream, much Myrsine.

Description
Large shrub 4 m. tall, 10 cm. in diameter; bark furrowed, light tan. The larger inflorescences more or less nodding; immature fruit pale green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
