iHowers pure white* long pendant all along under sides of
stems, axilliary from leaves* Leaves bright, hard, and usually
yelbw-green. Wiry shrubs to 10" tall, broadly spreading and
W ?ery free-flowering. Tae berries are blao3c and used locally
iiu making infc. The native name "Tlal Oapuline" which applies
also to the Arbutus berries* Steep dry slopes among shrubs &
trees, usually on somewhat open exposures, though also under
shade of pine and Abies* The seeds are last years, but worth
1 trying out in case we are unable to collect fresh seeds later
f ^ in the year* Eruits deep red when ripe, round3/8" diam*
Bather tasteless. Borne in numerous profusion* Leaves tingling
red in exposed position*
