Vegetation: bosque humedo montano transition to shrubby paramo.
Scrambling / climbing shrub to 2 m with stems rooting in moss on tree
trunks; leaves fleshy-coriaceous, mid-green dull, petioles dark red,
calyces pinkish red with a white pubescence, corollas rose-pink with
white pubescence.
