The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Lythraceae Lafoensia acuminata (Ruiz & Pav.) DC. det. M. Nee, 2006 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Florida, Laguna Volcán, near entrance to resort area, slopes with dry forest, on red sandstone. 18°07.45S, 63°39W. alt. 1175 m. Top of ridge with grassland and scattered shrubs, over red sandstone. With Agarista boliviana, Roupala montana, Baccharis spp. Small tree 6 m. tall, buds green with red. Flowers seem fully open, odorless (2:55 P.M., heavy overcast and drizzling); petals white; filaments and style very pale yellow; ovary and nectary yellow.
