pond-swamp in second growth mixed hemlock-
-hardwood and northern coniferous forest,
on a limestone substrate ca 4 km northwest of
Sciota and 35 km northwest of Plattsburg.
Elevation ca 100 m.
Shrubs 1.5-3 m tall. Leaves pale beneath.
Fruit red with a slight purplish cast, juicy,
not unpalatable, with mostly 4 stones.
