T. 15S, R. 2W, NW1/4 Sect. 24 Sandusky (west), Sandy Creek Road (1275E) 1.0 mile north of dark Road (1500N). Tamms 7.5 minute U.S.G.S. quadrangle. Elevation 340-350 feet. Wet disturbed sandy soil; alluvial. Agricultural land, wet ditches, and cutover floodplain forest, with Salix nigra, Ambrosia trifida, Aster spp. Flowers golden-yellow with brownish flecks on outside of standard, burnt orange on keel tip; locally common erect few-branched annual herb 2 meters tall, leaves pale glaucous beneath; fruit terete, not ripe.
