Ovules fastened to one side of carpel only.
Milky juice in stem, leaves and fruit* Standard
magenta on outside; yellow on inside with a
yellow spot on base and on claw. Wing petals
deep yellow. Keel petals cream tinged with rose
near center of tip. 10 stamens, didelphous.
Plants 7 feet tall. At edge of old field in
sandy loam soil 1 mile south of Jesup.
