Primary lowland wet forest on bank of
Nickerie River. Tree, 10 m tall, bark
smooth, white; leaves opposite,
entire, with pellucid dots, pale green
abaxially; fruit single seeded berry,
red, more or less pyriform, ca. 2 cm
in diameter when mature.
