This plant growing by stream.
Coarse tussock-forming herb to 1.5m. with
distichous leaves. Stem bases dark shining
brown beneath. Leaves coarse, bright glossy
green with alate margins. Culms glossy green.
Involucral bracts dark brown with paler margins
Flowers not mature.
