Collected about 16mi SE of Fayetteville, on Rt.
87. The colony was in a sandhill-longleaf pine
area, recently cut. The plants were few-flowered
and not many individuals were in flower. The
corollas were pink with a yellow eye, not
noticeably fragrant nor was there any insect
activity to be observed. Cumberland Co.
