Leaves forming a semi-spreading tank rosette. Sheaths white to pale brown on both surfaces. Blades strongly coriaceous to succulent, dark green and covered with lepidote indûment, especially on the abaxial side. Inflorescence erect: Scape green. Scape and primary bracts pale brown, caducous. Infrutescence old and dry. Fruits white. Jamaica, Manchester Parish: Marshall's Pen. NW of Mandeville. 18°3'33.1"N; 77°3T'53.4"W. 654 m.
