oak-juniper, scattered Stillingia, Yucca, and
Berberis, gentle S-facing slope with shallow
rocky soil, deeper on the upper part;
scattered but locally abundant in shallow, rocky
soil in open areas; flowers blue; none yet in
full fruit;
